DocuShare Client 6.0.6

The DocuShare Team is pleased to announce the availability of DocuShare Client 6.0.6 on Windows XP and Windows Vista (32-bit). This release is in English only and is available immediately for download via the DocuShare Client download page. The localized DocuShare Client, version 6.0.5, will coincide with the release of DocuShare 6.5.2 and will be available in International French, International Spanish, and German.
The DocuShare Client 6.0.6 release contains new features and bug fixes. The significant new features and fixes are summarized below.
What’s New
§ Ability to upload Word 2003 and Excel 2003 documents that contain linked objects (other Word 2003 and Excel 2003 documents) to a collection. The linked documents are added as part of the upload process.
§ Support for viewing the content of zip files. Zipped files can be extracted directly from DocuShare to the desktop.
§ From the Search Results window, the ability to open the collection that contains a found document.
§ A DocuShare toolbar replaces commands in an informational side panel in Windows Open and Save Common dialog windows.
§ Changes to the properties in the DocuShare Client Settings window.
Fixes in the Release
§ Improvements in the handling of Outlook email messages
§ Windows Vista users no longer need to disable User Account Control
§ Can now drag and drop multiple documents to a collection when there are required properties
§ Microsoft Office add-in fixes including ability to save a Word document in rtf and check in and route an Excel document
§ Ability to open Flash and Photoshop files when the applications are not running
§ Can now browse DocuShare and open documents when running Dutch versions of Windows XP and Office 2007
§ Outlook users can attach DocuShare documents using the Insert|File command
§ Outlook integration now supports the Outlook 2007 Instant Search feature
